How Theatre Logos Agency Works
After you have cleared performance rights to a play, you may obtain a TLA license to use the artwork. Under the TLA agreement, acceptable uses include posters; window cards; banners; flyers; postcards; brochures; newsletters; playbills; websites; print, online, and email ads. Artwork may be used for a period of eighteen months prior to your opening date. Licensing fees are based on total printed and digital uses. Standard fees for amateur theatres are $50 for up to 1,000 printed/2,000 digital uses; $75 for up to 2,500 printed/5,000 digital uses; and $100 for up to 5,000 printed/10,000 digital uses. Third-party print and online ads are not subject to limitation. Note that certain logos may have higher licensing fees, and in all cases licensing fees for use by professional theatres are higher. See FAQs to determine whether your theatre has amateur or professional status. If you require in excess of 5,000 printed/10,000 digital uses or if you are seeking rights for Broadway, Off-Broadway, West End, or First Class commercial productions, or the international equivalents of First Class commercial productions outside the United States, send an inquiry to our Orders department.
